04-23-2025 -- Tag some More

Howdy all. Decent spring weather today. In 50s headed to maybe 70. Winds under 15 mph, and no rain predicted. I’d be outside gardening if I didn’t feel like crud. Lousy sleeping night, and everything is aching today. Especially the arm/shoulder. I think carrying up the 50+ pounds of distilled water to the laser room yesterday, may have been too much.

Maybe I’ll feel better later.

Anyway, I did a little more tagging yesterday. This is where the two printers are now.

All 12 AMS slots are tagged on the P1S. I’ll be switching out the 3 greens up top someday soon with other colors I have that may be used. I have a few multi-color spindles where the colors shift from like blue-to-green or red-to-yellow or such. Should be nice for vases.

Not as happy with the X1 Carbon tags. I’m reprinting the black and white ones because the words are a mess. And I thought using the swatches in holders on tags would work well. But the double-sided “temporary” tape doesn’t hold for even a few hours. I’m trying to print off specific tags now, just like on the P1S.

Redo — It is now 4:45 pm and I reprinted the six tags that are in use. Now all of the words can be read. And, all the colors are corrected too. Much happier. When I fill the open AMS 2 PRO slots in the B unit, I’ll print them too. I was thinking the filament in B1 was called Translucent. In fact, Bambu named it Transparent.. If the tag was only 1 or two layers thick, you can see right through it. But that is 16 layers, criss-crossed, and with empty cubes inside to save filament. Comes across as a dirty white.

Yesterday was the first day of Spring Training for the kids in the baseball field across the street. They will be there frequently over the next few months.

Time to get off this blog, and Enjoy Life
