05-04-2025 -- May the fourth be over soon

Howdy all. Ugh, another rainy day. And, the winds picked up and were howling off the lake while I was trying to sleep last night. Forecast suggests another couple of days of this. Well, at least tomorrow it may get to upper 50s outside. I just asked Alexa and she says the “normal” May high temperature is in the low 70s. Figures. Mother Nature is keeping winter going a little bit longer this year just to make me miserable.

I did switch to my “summer” shorts this morning, from the blue jeans I wear the other 8 months each year up here. I’ll likely regret this choice when I drive to the dentist tomorrow morning for cleaning and impressions to fill in that implant area with a crown. I’m hoping the dentist doesn’t want to attack any of the other teeth this year. He may. (Number 13 is always on his mind for a rebuild).

This coming week, Burpee should be shipping my tomato/pepper plants, and flowers too. I am looking forward to getting them transplanted and growing.

I did a minimum amount of moving some stuff from the floor in the garage, onto newly emptier shelves where some of the power tools were. Needs a lot of work out there. Not today.

Oh, got an interesting postcard in the USPS mail yesterday. From the Federal District Court system in Cleveland. I had to go online to answer a questionnaire on being a Jury member. Sadly, I was honest. No real reason to not serve, other than not wanting to drive that far, and, one hopefully accepted exemption. Seems if you are over 70 years old, you can request to be exempt for federal juries. I am over 70 now. They don’t have to accept the request, but I sure hope they do.. For the state of Ohio, potential jury members can request exemption at the age of 75. So, I can still serve on more local trials. Would like to not do those anymore either.

That would not be my choice to Enjoy Life.
