11-05-2025 — Wind in the trees

Howdy all. Just a quick note. The winds have started back.

That was from 9 this morning. We are under a “high-wind” alert now at 2 pm. Winds could gust in off the lake at 50 mph. Isn’t that lovely? Nope. Potential down trees, and blowing objects, and electrical outages and more are possible.

From the weather app:

What

West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

Where

In Ohio, Lorain, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Cuyahoga, and Lake Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties.

When

From 1 PM this afternoon to 10 PM EST this evening.

Impacts

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

I hate hearing howling wind. And hate electrical outages even more. My Post Tropical Storm Disorder (PTSD) is fully alerted. Too many hurricanes in Florida watching roofs and structures blow apart.

So I will be spending the day trying to hide from this.

My Backyard. Did I ever mention I have ZERO trees in my backyard?

After the next few days, leading up to possible snow on Monday, most of the leaves should be blown off the trees in my neighbors yards. The neighbor to the south uses the same lawn service as I, so we have the fall cleanup done at the same time. It will likely be after Monday.

With less wind, and a cleared lawn, maybe I can crawl out from under the bed, and Enjoy Life
