11-07-2025 — As the Winds turn

Howdy all. The winds keep coming. Today back up to 40 mph. But a break tomorrow and Sunday. Then Monday and Tuesday, not only will there be winds, but temperatures never getting above the 30s, and SNOW. That should knock the leaves down.

At least the winds are from the southish today. Not off the freaking lake.

Of course that means the leaves pile up on the south side of the house.

And in the back corners of the backyard, near fences.

These trees, in my neighbors’ yards, are the ones that need to finish dropping leaves, so I can get my fall cleanup done by lawn service.

I keep blowing them away from the garage door, and front entrance. But, they will come back from the neighbors’ trees. And my little tree is finally dropping its leaves too.

I am not fond of the mess. Or the wind noise. And I certainly don’t like the cold weather. But for those who love seeing these “fall” colors, Enjoy Life

Addendum as of 3 pm. The Porncasters are suggesting the snow by the end of Tuesday may have accumulated 6-8 inches around here. I do hope they are wrong. But, I went to the shed and pushed the snowblower from there to the garage for the winter. It is an EGO 24 inch self propelled battery 2 stage snow blower. Anyway, while taking that short walk, I stopped at the garden beds and made on last late fall harvest.

The peppers might not be all that big, but are still crunchy and tasty. I’ll just chop up the lot and toss in a small baggie for my Turkey boil coming soon. Enjoy Life
