01-26-2026 — This is snow boring

Howdy all. Still cold or colder or coldest, outside. They are suggesting wind-chills in the minus 25 range coming tonight into tomorrow. And, also we are to get 1-3 inches of “lake effect” snow today, to cover up the foot plus already blowing around out there. At this moment, we are under 4 separate winter weather alerts. One each for, temperature, wind, wind-chill and snow. And looking ahead, we won’t see even 20 degrees Fahrenheit in the next 8 days, and won’t get to freezing (32 degrees) for at least 2 weeks. Lots of single digit temperatures for the period. Oh, by the why, the so-called “normal” high is 32 degrees at this time of year.

Global climate catastrophe is real. Hotter hot days, drier dry days, wetter wet days, and colder cold days, are becoming the “normal”. And I missed the worst one for here, windy days are becoming more windy. It all blows…

This is what I saw overnight through one of my cameras.

What does the fox say? He says, help, I’m buried to my ears. And the bird and cat statues are completely buried in drifts.

All of Weaver’s hard work was covered again this morning when I got up. They came back around 9:30 am and removed it once again.

And then a little more snow fell, but was trying to melt where the salt was tossed. Notice the sun popped out for a few moments.

Out back, you can’t even see most of the garden beds. Just a whiteout situation. Security camera was having a tough time getting decent exposure with the sun hitting all of the snow.

Just to show there is still life up here — my mushroom crop is trying to grow, but the tomatoes are doing fine.

I’ve picked a couple from this crop already, and more are coming. These are the seeds I planted back in ?November? — Nope, it was October 13. That’s about 90 days from planting to first harvest. The older plants are still trying to produce, but the tomatoes are pea sized mostly. I should redo those click-and-grow modules I guess.

I think the cold temperatures from the windows and walls are stunting the growth right now. Just like me, they need sunshine and warmth to truly Enjoy Life
