03-17-2026 — Where is the green

Howdy all. So today is St. Paddy’s Day. The day to plant potatoes here in northeast Ohio. (6 weeks before last possible frost!). But not this year. It is a blistering 23 degrees Fahrenheit outside right now, and won’t get out of the 20s today. At least the winds have dropped from 31-48 mph overnight to about 20 - 30 mph now at 10:30 am.

Oh, Oh. Just took a power flip. Hopefully it stays on why I finish this.

Still about 7 thousand households in the northern Ohio area without power. Some since Friday the 13th.

This morning, to add to the abnormal conditions, a meteor blew by creating a sonic boom, around 9 am. May have crashed into the lake, or somewhere near here. A big boom heard throughout the state of Ohio.

The porncasters are split on today’s snow guesses. Anywhere from zero to another 4 inches. For now, it looks like this.

Overnight — just looks odd with the flowers trying to pop out.

Was still coming down in the wee hours.

The bird bath is frozen solid. The pavement / cement is a little slippery, but mostly melted.

Kitty has the right idea. Curl up on a blanket on the couch and let the weather pass.
