04-06-2025 -- Never give up. Well maybe surrender.

Howdy all. A lovely ?spring? day today. I saw snowflakes and the temperatures are sticking in the mid 30s all day.

A good day to get some organizing done. Except, the twinge in my back is a major pain in the area above the butt.

I started the morning by taking a couple Advil Dual Action, and then tried to clear the workbench area.

Ta Da. Did it. But waddled downstairs certain I was done for the day.

After breakfast, and sitting for a couple hours, I figured I’d at least do something productive, so I went into the Box Room (my Living Room), and found the step stool box. I managed to get it assembled, and was ready to stop again.

That step stool, with the tall back to hold onto, should make it easier to reach the top shelf of the materials shelving units. I hope. I may need to adjust it to be a little shorter step. That’s at about 11 1/2 inches high. A pretty high step for me some days. Especially without real shoes on.

Another couple of hours later, and I knew I had to try and get the 55 pound stainless steel table upstairs. Actually, it wasn’t that difficult. I sort of rolled it up the steps by the 4 corners. Each 1/4 roll got it up half a flight of stairs. Just needed to slide it around the landings.

Turns out, one of the heaviest components of the box, was the smaller box of caster wheels inside. Those buggers must weigh 5-6 pounds a piece. Or at least it felt like it as I unboxed.

I did get everything unboxed, and started assembly. Had to stop again when I found out the next step was those casters, and I needed an adjustable set of pliers or wrench or socket wrench to make the casters fit in the tube properly. None of those tools upstairs.

Made for a perfect break time to take the box trash down and go out to garage to get the right tools for the job. Well, the back is telling me it would prefer I didn’t finish today.

So the stainless steel table sits on its back on the workbench. A bit over half assembled. You can see the the trash box in the hallway. Took this just before going downstairs for the tools.

Thus, I am surrendering for the day, and will just have to sit here and Enjoy Life.
