04-13-2025 -- 3D printers mostly upgraded

Hello all. On another day (Sunday) where temperatures started below freezing, I am just glad I have stuff to play with indoors. While the sun may actually shine today, and temperatures get over 50 by evening, it is just a pause to the next couple of days of high winds, dropping temperatures, and cold, cold, rain. 45 mph winds are again in the forecast for Monday into Tuesday. UGH.

Yesterday I finally got enough gumption to get the new AMS units (8 colors) connected to the Carbon X1 3D printer, and the older AMS on it, connected to the P1S printer (now has 12 color possibilities). Also upgraded the piece inside each printer that tries to eliminate some of the poop chute clogs, and the spaghetti getting tossed on the bed, during color changes.

This is like the 4th or 5th variation of those pieces that I’ve installed in the last year. Each and every one “Guaranteed” to fix the issue. Seems like what works for some people’s printers doesn’t work for all. I hoping this is my fix.

The P1S printer now with 12 colors — I will replace some of those greens with whatever I need at the moment.

The X1 Carbon and his 2 AMS Pro units. I haven’t put in 2 rolls of filament in the unit on the right yet. Need to decide what to use. I have a translucent and a gray in there now. This printer is more for “functional” items that need to be sturdier and can hold up to the outside world.

Did you notice the translucent butterfly on the X1 Carbon? That was a test to make sure the printer was recognizing and can use the new AMS Pro units.

And this was the first print on the P1S printer using the older AMS unit that was added.

I also unboxed the Chiller unit for the new CO2 laser. And its “juice”.

Also notice a lot fewer boxes in hallway waiting to be unboxed and assembled and utilized.

Closer look at the Chiller and its “juice” box.

Someday soon I will connect all of the CO2 laser’s components and give it a test run.

But not today. I need to relax a bit, and Enjoy Life
