06-19-2025 — And the last of longer days

Howdy all. Today is June 19th, the day before the Summer Solstice. And what is meaningful about that, you ask? Well, it means today is the last day of 2025 where the daytime gets longer. Tomorrow and every day after that until December 21st, the darkness gets a bit longer, and the daytime a bit shorter.

Enjoy today, and Enjoy Life

Slightly later in the day. Duh, major rains yesterday, and I didn’t mention it. Lots of storms. Oh, and an electric hit too. Fortunately a quickie. Rain and winds stayed today. Between yesterday and today, winds ramped up in the storms to 35-70 mph. Yeah, big-arse winds. So today, just before 1 pm, while I was hiding under the desk, trying to not see/hear the lightning/thunder and trees whipping about, there was another earthquake in the area. Many people reported it on Nextdoor. With all the weather making the house creak and groan, I couldn’t tell there was a quake. That’s the 3rd quake this week, and like the 8th this year in the area.

Right now, 7 pm, the sun is back out and quickly drying the pavement. I’m sure the lawn is mushy. Lawn service was a no show today — Duh. Better to be safe at their homes so they will continue to Enjoy Life.
