06-28-2025 — Healthy Kitty

Howdy all. Yesterday was Kitty’s yearly veterinarian health check appointment.

We left the house around 8 am. It wasn’t too bad to put her in the crate this time. She was sleeping on the window bed and I just gathered her up and carried her to the dining room where the crate was on the floor. She started whining after the first couple of steps. She really doesn’t like to be held captive. But no fighting to close up the crate.

It is about a 30 minute drive to the vet. And we were seen right around the 8:40 appointment time. $76 later, and we were home around 10 from the appointment.  Kitty is doing fine. Still has a 2-3 heart murmur.  Lungs are clear.  Teeth and ears are clear.  She gained 3 ounces over last year, and is a healthy 12 pounds 8 ounces.  Likely lost those new 3 ounces when she poo’d on the way home.   Vet says she is at a healthy weight.

The crying wasn’t as bad as prior trips.  Still a little whining, but not too loud.   Kitty was quieter too.  She was good for vet and the assistant.  Shed did hiss when she was picked up.  But quieted down when I put my hand where she could lick it.  

Overall, a very good kitty.  

My turn is on Tuesday morning with dentist.   Then I am going to try and get eyes checked soon.  I may need driving glasses now.  

Oh well.

We had one good t’storm roll through yesterday. Not as much rain as we need. None expected today.

I really hated hearing the wind. Can not Enjoy Life.
