07-22-2026 — Life is a Pain
Howdy all. We finally got some needed rain with the round of thunderstorms yesterday. Maybe close to an inch. Good thing for the gardens. I was out there yesterday after the rain, planting 12 new pepper plants in hope they can produce before the first frost. I can only hope. There are 4 more plants coming today or tomorrow. There was even a little sprinkle later after I was done, to water them in nicely.
However, it looks like fall has arrived as of today.
A cool period for sure. Nice for working outside, if I wasn’t hurting so much.
The other evening, when getting into bed, a Ghost gave me a kidney punch on the right side of my back. And, being the foolish person I am, I immediately rolled over, and he gave me a kick into the kidney on the left side.
Okay, maybe there are no ghosts, but the pain was/is real. I never know what movement is going to suddenly knock the breath out of me.
And this was before planting the peppers. And, before moving the TV stand and such, to get that corner stand in behind the TV, out of sight. I also had to bend over to pick up a couple of UPS units (20-35 pounds), and slide them in the corner unit. I am not that bright sometimes!!
I did get the T-Mobile Gateway, and a Google wifi unit, hooked up back there, and tried it out. I was a little concerned that having the T-Mobile Gateway behind the TV and a bunch of electronic devices, might lessen the connection speed. But,,,,
You can just see the T-Mobile Gateway behind the TV, if you stand in the right spot.
Those are some very good speed numbers. Especially the upload!
T-Mobile 5G pretty much doubles the speeds of Spectrum Cable. Both up and down.
My brother just left, after a short visit. He got a nice half bucket full of potatoes. He is mobile, but the right knee is still quite stiff and needs a lot of therapy for him to regain flexibility. Getting in and out of his car is quite the production.
In other painful news, one of the squirrels decided he wanted fresh sunflower seeds. He climbed the plant out front, chomped off the flower/head, and then proceeded to destroy it in the grass. He did pull the head 20 feet so it was under the tree in the yard, and now the base around the tree is covered with white sunflower seeds and mush.
While he may have enjoyed that, it doesn’t help me Enjoy Life
