09-18-2025 — 3D update

Howdy all. Weather? No change. But, they are suggesting the rain may actually arrive on Sunday. It is quite dry out there. My Japanese Maple out front is dropping leaves already, and the leaves still on the tree look sad.

Yes, the sky is a beautiful blue. But that just emphasizes the total lack of a rain cloud in sight.

A closer image of the leaves on the tree, and you can see they are curled up and ready to fall. Like a month earlier than they normally would.

The air quality is also not so great. Each evening, the AQI enters the 100 range of bad. Mornings it is right around the 50 of so-called moderate. That means it is not great for those of us with less than perfect breathing.

As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been 3D printing objects for the up coming holiday season. The latest batch was a few of these.

I’m accumulating a bunch.

Oh, did I mention I finally got a working “normal” USB A to A, Male to Male, cable for the CO2 laser? A nice 30 foot long one that allowed me to route it from laser to laptop, along the upper wall, and still have enough extra footage to have a loop or two at each end, so I can move things, when needed.

It may not be great looking, but it is functional and the screw hooks don’t leave too big of a mark.

I also got in some material I want to use with that laser for the holiday season. That time is coming soon.

And, since I’ve not posted one of these in a few days…

Some pictures really do show how asymmetrical Kitty’s face and eyes are. I think it makes her look absolutely beautiful.
