10-23-2025 — Tummy bugs

Howdy all. No pictures today. Weather did finally change from dry. Possibly 5 inches? of rain has fallen in last 4 days. Maybe more. Constant drizzle. And temperatures that have been mostly low 40s to 50s, touching 60 once or twice.

You might think that would chase the midges away. It didn’t. They would end up on the ground until the break in rain, and quickly be back buzzing around everything. The windows would be 90% clear, and then, 50% bugs. And the carcasses just keep piling up around the house entrances. Disgusting.

And to make things even less fun, I’ve been having a tummy bug for the last couple of days. Better this morning, but not great. This is one of those days, if I was on a diet, it would be great to weigh in. “Oh, look. I’ve lost 10 pounds this week.”… Full well knowing the moment my body catches up with loss of liquids, 6 pounds will be back.

The lack of energy is also getting to me. I’ve been doing 3D printer projects again, and had one fail yesterday morning. It is still on the printer. Just don’t want to crawl up the stairs and clear it. I think it was just a print-bed adhesion issue. Need to use alcohol on the metal bed and add some “glue” to make it work better the next time.
