Howdy all. Today is mid-term election day. My prediction is as follows. Too many of the incumbent criminals will be retained, but some will be replaced with new maroonies. At least I won’t have a full mailbox of glossy brochures telling me lies about the various lies, the liars have lied about. I was asked about how did I vote. Well, obviously, I voted by mail.
Duh. As for whom did I vote for, I will say I did not vote for anyone that ran unopposed.
I did find it interesting that those 6-10 positions that had just a single seeker, were all Republicans. If the Democrats are so intent on getting rid of the Republicans, how is it they couldn’t find anyone to post for the position?
I did look at write-ups on every candidate, from each party, and then picked the one I found less disagreeable. I found that to be totally unsatisfying. I would rather be voting FOR someone I agreed with a lot. So to both sides, find better candidates. Something tells me that retired teacher that just happens to have the same general name as the incumbent Republican, up in Alaska, is likely a better human that either of the other two Republicans, or the Democrat, that he is opposing.
Our elections are getting messy.
The candidates are a lot like these leaves. Messy. And they all need to be rounded up and dumped!!!
So few of these leaves are my choice. They drop in like political leaflets from unwanted places. I have only one leaf covered tree in my yard, and it has dark colored leaves.
I’ve been using my crock pot a lot this last couple of weeks. Just finished up a chicken and vegetable soup I made.
Pretty good. But even though I used low-sodium broths, and added zero salt, it was still a tad salty. Oh, and I made sure that there were no ingredients that could cause Kitty and harm. She did sip some of the broth, after I watered it down, and had more than her fair share of the chicken thighs.
Today I’m tossing a pork roast on top of small potatoes, and covering with sauerkraut. I think this may be the third pork/kraut dinner I’ve done. I really do like the combined flavors. I use garlic/onion free sauerkraut so Kitty can share the pork if she likes. Sometimes she does, sometimes she walks away. Hey, it is just a snack in her diet. I buy the best wet cat food I can find for her (that she will eat, of course).
