Homeless in Savannah

Howdy all,

Today, at 10 am, I closed on the sale of my home in Florida. I promptly hit the road north. Took 5 hours to get out of Florida. Dang that is one long state. Since I was imagining I’d be starting off later in the day, I stopped sooner than expected. Decided to miss driving in the dark for day 1. So, here I am in an IHG (Holiday Inn Express) in Savannah Georgia.

This is another one built in last year. Nice and clean and just like every other one. However, getting to it off of I-95 is a royal PITA. A lot of traffic congestion. The receptionist suggests I head away for I-95 in the morning to get to a place to get a traffic light to turn towards it.. That’s pretty bad when you consider I plan to leave around 6:30 or so.

Oh, during the drive, I listened to an Audible book. A “new” adventure novel — Treasure Island — the reading was done well. Enjoyable to hear. Recommended.

Anyway, as of today, I am homeless.. So sad… And closing on the buy up in Madison, Ohio isn’t until 3/10 — one week. Need to get up there to measure for appliances to be delivered as soon as I’m in. After living in the empty house for a few days, I can’t recommend it as a life style.

For now, I’m ready for my nap, and need to get my electronic devices charging for tomorrow.

Enjoy Life
