01-25-2026 — Snow-snow-snow

Howdy all. So the big snow even is ongoing. Yep, it started snowing around 3-4 am, and has not stopped once as of 5 pm.

This was just after getting downstairs this morning. Tough to convince myself to leave the bed.

Weaver’s arrived around 2 pm to clear the driveway. I wasn’t going anywhere, and had no deliveries arriving. No need for them earlier than that. The pile at the end of the driveway was almost gone yesterday.

I’d guess there was 4-12 inches down at that point, depending upon the drifting. Yes, the winds were still 15-25 mph. You can see the worker bee from Weaver’s pushing a foot of snow off the walkway. It was clear yesterday, and almost completely dry from the salt I had put down.

You can see he is able to reach “dry” walkway easily. If easily means shoveling a foot of powder out of the way!!

So what does it look like out there just 3 hours later? Not much additional snow.

It has re-covered the areas shoveled. And you can see the drifting into the “walls” on the walkway.

Out the front door, it could use a sweeping. Maybe tomorrow.

Looking at the 'raised’ beds behind the garage, you can see the short bed is covered nicely, and the beds back by the fence, have differing depths of snow. From the strawberry section completely buried, to some spots with 2 foot tall beds, less than half way up the sides with snow.

Weather.com on the iPhone is saying another 1-3 inches yet today. And that we had just over 10 inches in last 24 hours.

Probably close to accurate for a change.

Weaver’s was back about 6:30 to re-clear the drive and walk. Here he is shoveling around the mailbox. Best service ever!!! Notice the pile is now taller than hood of the lifted truck. Oh, and there is a drainage ditch there. So it starts 2 foot below level ground. That’s a sheet load of snow.

So, mo sno to blo. Enjoy life
