03-14-2026 — Easy as pie

Howdy all. The 50+mph winds started to lessen around 2-3 am. It is around 32 degrees outside now at noon with winds “only” around 16-25 mph. They will pick up again tomorrow (Sunday) night, and we will see 50mph again a couple times this week. Not nice.

While there were over 650,000 outages statewide, and over 265,000 in the Northeast portion of Ohio, my electricity only flickered a teeny bit. 5-10 miles from here, they’ve been down for 12-18 hours. Still over 100,000 outages in the Northeast sector.

Unusual to see my section of the north coast of U.S., not affected by the outages. But I will be thankful.

So, Friday the 13th was “lucky” for my house and neighborhood. Not so good for so many others.

I am very tired again today. Could use some easy sleeping nights. But, today I tossed a pile of dead animals in a bowl with onions, eggs, bread crumbs, etc., and am baking a meatflat right now. If I had shaped it differently, it might be called a meatloaf. However, I just dumped it in the 8×10 pan and flattened it. At least it will bake more evenly.

If it doesn’t look too unappetizing, I may take a picture of it later. Or, maybe I’ll just eat some and feed the rest to the sewer alligators again.
