Howdy all. Weather, no change. Well, they are suggesting it may rain in a week (next Saturday - today is Saturday). They updated the possibility to 50% from 30% earlier this morning.
The plan this morning was to go out and harvest whatever tomatoes I could and toss the dead looking plants into the compost. Surprisingly, a few of the plants were still green, and have growing fruit. I left them, but did pull weeds. As for the “harvest”, this is what I got.
Most of the red (ripe) cherry tomatoes were split and I tossed them into the yard for the nightly clean up crew of raccoons and skunks and rabbits and possum. If there was a little yellow or red on the “larger” tomatoes, I brought them in too.
Not exactly the kind of harvest I’d have expected after the last few years. Pretty sad looking. Yesterday afternoon I did an indoor tomato harvest too.
These are always tasty and bug free.
These two plants may not be pretty, but they just keep on growing and producing.
I wish I had enough room and windows, to have a green house room of these, and I might not even bother to try and grow them outdoors.
The Click and Grow hydroponic system is great for certain herbs and mini vegetables. Just add water once a week and put a few drops of fertilizer in the water every few waterings. Then you just trim and harvest and Enjoy Life
