10-16-2025 — Post After
Howdy all. Weather no different. Possibility of rain moved until Sunday. Hopefully it will be a nice long rainstorm that can remove the buggies.
This was yesterday. Much worse today. Just wait.
Still yesterday.
Still yesterday. And next, today.
This was the lawn service trying not to swallow too many of the buggies.
This is at the edge of the garage door today as he mowed. Those are the mostly dead ones from yesterday until this morning. When I went to the grocery this morning, at 7, thousands poured into the garage and took their place on any flat surface. The cars that are left outside overnight around here, had a full cover from them. But, one mile south, and not a bug to be seen.
Last evening, the two bandaids fell off my shoulder. No bruising from the vaccines this time. And, only one had even the tiniest drop of blood on it. That’s not to say there were (are) no side effects. Yes, the injection sites are sore. And, I had some body aching — but not that bad this time. And, I had a mild headache. But the biggest would be the lack of energy. I didn’t really realize how beat I was until I went grocery shopping today. That seemed like exercise.
It was a good shopping day though. Each vaccine, from Tuesday, gave me a one-time 10% off shopping basket. So I used the first one today and got the maximum $20 off my groceries. And, since I had clicked on box on the website to get 500 points if I spent $150 on groceries, I got those to add to my accumulated 1100 or so points. That means I can get 20% off a future shopping run. But, since I can’t “stack” that with the other vaccine 10% off, I’ll use it first, and then the 20%, and will likely have added more Giant Eagle Perk Points by then for more future shoppings. Oh, and this is their “free” turkey season. I need to spend $375 or so by 11/7 to get a free small turkey. I’m halfway there.
I bought a bunch of meats that were on sale today, and put them in freezer. I’ll do the same the next time too. Thus, I “spend” more at a time when I can “save” more. Later, in the next few months, I’ll spend less and save less because I have what I need already.
This is the way.
