12-30-2025 — Year closing down

Howdy all. Well this has not been a fun few days. Winds pushing 60 mph and snow blowing sideways more than down. And temps dropping from 57 at midnight on Sunday to 20s on Monday. Wind chill temperatures were negative hell.

Yesterday morning after temperatures dropping 30 degrees overnight.

My poor Xmas tree is shivering out there.

The wee hours this morning. Not a lot of accumulation. But.

Weaver’s Snow Removal service arrived just after 7 am and cleared the driveway and walkway and tossed down some salt too. I really appreciate them clearing around the mailbox. That is not a plow. It is garbage pickup day for some homes in the area.

In case you are thinking we got hit easy this round. Nope, it ain’t over. Up to 15 inches of more snow in next two days. And the winds are just now gusting less than 35 mph. But will see up to 40 mph during the two days too.
