01-18-2026 — Super Brr time

Howdy all. Back to the deep freeze here in northeast Ohio.

Actually, it dropped another degree, to 13, just after this picture. But look at next weekend.

It will be around 0 Fahrenheit -1 to +1 overnights. Now that is Brrr. Like the negative windchill temperatures today are not.

And to make sure it feels even worse, the winds are going to pick up.

Winds will be gusting over 45 mph tomorrow.

Looks so pretty, wish I was somewhere else!!!

The sun tried to melt some of the snow away from the driveway and walkway near the house. I checked the temperature inside the garage this morning, and it was in the mid 20s. Not exactly warm enough to melt anything but my soul.

I uncovered my mushroom kits, after their week gathering CO2 in the dark. There is a fine webbing of mushroom mycelium across the top of the “soil” in each box. Looks like it took. Will likely see tiny shrooms within next week or so. And I harvested a handful of tomatoes from my indoor plants this morning. I guess those are the things I need to think about to Enjoy Life
