07-10-2025 — Power in Flowers

Howdy all. Decent day outside, if not for the lack of rain and the smog. I am still fighting low sleep nights and being tired all day because of it. Just can’t stop the frustration and/or meanness dreams. But today I stopped to smell the flowers.

My “Easter” lilies are starting to bloom — I read they are really Oriental Lilies and can / do bloom in summer and can reach 6 foot tall after a few years. They are about that now.

The first to open are these beautiful yellows. I see all kinds of colors opening soon.

I can’t recall the names of these, but I think they are very pretty.

And I like the “veins” of red in the center of these.

Just a standard pinkish red posey.

The 3D printer version of a rose can not compare to a real one.

I mentioned a week ago that I was trying to make shelves for my 3D print display cases. Here is a shot of three of them installed. Made the cases less crowded and now I have room for more little figurines or such.

Looks pretty good.

Of course no blog is really complete without the obligatory picture of the most important person.

Must be a birdy down there. She is ready to take the leap.

Out in the garden, the vegetables need watering. And I think it is harvest time for a lot of the potatoes and carrots. My brother says he may stop by on Saturday to take a few dozens. He’ll share with his family and they can all have some Good Eats and Enjoy Life.
