Howdy all. A chilly day outside, when I took trash to curb at 7:00. Winds from the lake were making the 56 degrees seem much colder. But it is sunny again. Just that little bit of rain yesterday early, and none overnight or expected. The flowers in the front planters could use a drink. But, I may just hold off. I have live mum plants coming, and I’ll just replace the spring/summer flowers with these fall ones.

So, I got the longer/thinner extension cord this morning around 9ish. It is 11 am now, and it is in place. The job was not a good one. Where is my Florida Handyman when I need him? Oh, that’s right, he is in Florida. Getting someone to show up in this area, to do small jobs, is virtually impossible. They are all over Nextdoor.com asking for work, but never seem to show up and do it.

Here are the results from someone who can’t kneel on the floor because of screwed up knees, and is getting too old and fat to squat or bend over for long periods.

After this picture, I did go back and add more wall cord holders down low so the cord is tighter to the corner. Took superglue to hold one onto the wood trim.

The floor carpet cover stuff is a pain to get to lay flat. I may try carpet tape. The carpet isn’t that good, and will certainly be replaced when I move, or maybe even before. The cover runs under the Water Chiller, and there is a few extra feet of extension cord in case I need to move things. The door will close over the cover. I tried multiple times. And Roomba happily drove over it.

This cord cover was also difficult. It is a one try fit. And I slipped of the first piece on the corner and it was permanently attached to the wall. It is going to remove drywall when it is removed. So, I ended up going downhill towards the outlet. It will be functional in that the cord isn’t on the floor as trip hazard, or Roomba stopper, but will remind me how lousy of a handyman I am each time I go up the stairs.

I did plug everything in, and no breakers tripped. The laser is on the laser room 20amp circuit, with that AFCI breaker, and the Chiller and Fume Extractor are on the bathroom’s 20amp GFCI circuit through the extension cord. And the Levoit Air Purifier and the humidifier are on the hallway outlet/lights/switches 20 amp circuit that is neither GFCI nor AFCI.

Hopefully later today I will go back up there and finally test out the CO2 laser. I’m really close to saying I can Enjoy Life
